A group of about 40 people from Salem Church and Kent UMC (Kent, OH) spent the weekend at the church, fasting for 30 Hours to raise money for World Vision as part of the 30 Hour Famine. Thanks to everybody's help, we raised $2,823.38 for needy children around the world.
29,000 children die every day because of poverty. To help us symbolize that, we constructed 2,9000 little crosses - one for every 10 children - and placed them around the outside of the church.
